Tall Ingots, a leading metal recycling company with over 50 years of experience, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Facilities Manager to join our team in Queensland. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the maintenance and operation of facilities to ensure efficient and safe functionality.
- Supervise and coordinate the work of contractors involved in maintenance projects.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols for a secure working environment.
- Oversee environmental initiatives, ensuring compliance with regulations and implementing sustainability measures.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and legislation
- Develop and manage budgets for facility-related projects, optimizing costs and resources.
- Calculate and compare costs for required facilities management services.
- Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for facility-related services, ensuring high-quality standards.
- Manage tenders for contractors and monitor service level agreements.
- Develop and implement emergency response plans to address potential facility-related issues.
- Respond to emergencies or urgent issues as they arise.
- Collaborate with other departments to optimize space utilization within the facilities.
- Plan space and resource allocation for new or existing premises.
- Stay informed about relevant regulations and industry best practices to ensure Tall Ingots remains compliant.
- Plan for future development in line with strategic business objectives.
- Coordinate and lead facilities management staff.
- Manage change to ensure mínimal disruption to company business activities.
- Coordinate and plan essential services such as reception, security, maintenance, mail, archiving, cleaning, catering, waste disposal, and recycling.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience in facilities management.
- AQF Advanced Diploma, Associate Degree, or Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Proven experience in managing tenders, supervising contractors, and coordinating essential services.
- Proven experience in facilities management, preferably in industrial or manufacturing settings
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and environmental compliance.
- Budget management and cost optimization skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
