**About the role**
As a Procurement Officer, you will form an integral part of the production team and will be responsible for the procurement of goods & services as required to support business operations. Working within our Crestmead manufacturing & office facilities you will be critical to the successful completion of a range of Fleetwood Building Solutions projects.

**Key responsibilities will include**:

- Procurement of goods and services
- Supplier liaisons for existing and new vendors
- Coordination of goods and services in conjunction with other departments
- Managing project budgets on procured good and services
- New product research
- Cost savings on procured goods and services
- Record and document purchasing information relating to jobs
- Scheduling of goods to coincide with production activities
- Quantity take-offs and material estimates in line with project requirements
- Resolve, supply, and product issues including invoice errors, credits, short supply, product damage etc
- Ordering and quoting of goods and services as required
- Assist estimating, including support for tender pricing
- Interact with other staff members, other branches, and clients
- Manage relationships with sales reps and vendors
- Manage certification of procured goods and services as required to meet project requirements

**The successful applicant will preferably have a trade background and will demonstrate**:

- At least 2 year’s experience in a similar role
- Skilled in prioritising, organising, and completing tasks to meet deadlines
- Proven history in planning, reporting and risk management
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Organized, reliable and highly motivated
- Sound understanding of the building industry
- Sound knowledge and understanding of Australian Standards/ Regulations
- Advanced negotiation skills
- Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
- Excellent numeracy and communication (written and verbal)
- Ability to work autonomously
- Excellent customer service
- Experience with Microsoft Navision (ERP)
- Not essential
- Trade background
- Desirable
