We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and experienced **Instructional Designer **to design and develop learning and practicing experiences within blended learning methodologies (including online, face to face, video, self-paced).

The purpose of the role is to create engaging learning activities and compelling course content with the support of business SMEs. This is a key role within our organisation that will see you partnering with a diverse range of Stakeholders and Subject Matter Experts both internal and external to the business to ensure the Group’s Training needs are met. This diverse position supports the business across the board in ensuring our training and compliance needs are met through the implementation of well mapped, innovative delivery models that enable us to use our internal expertise as well as developing strong relationships and agreements with 3rd party providers. Solid knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models is a must.

**Reporting to the Training & Development Lead your key objectives will include**:

- Familiar with ADDIE design framework and able to Analyses, Design, Develop, Implement and Evaluate learning, training and assessment resources and solutions.
- To state instructional end goals and create content that achieves them.
- Design resources to align to relevant Standards and Nationally Accredited Units of Competence, where applicable.
- Create engaging learning activities and compelling course content that enhances retention and transfer of knowledge and skill.
- Solid knowledge of course development software including authoring tools and ability to storyboard.
- Ability to write effective copy, instructional text, audio & video scripts, role plays, games etc.to enhance the learning process.
- Develop graphics and assets to support participant experience and business needs.
- Provide guidance on learning, training, and assessment resources to enhance the learning process.
- Decide on the criteria used to appropriately assess learner’s performance, capability, and competence and
- Maintain effective documentation and course folders.

**The successful applicant will ideally have**:

- Qualification instructional design, educational technology or similar experience.
- Ability to research and implement new innovations in both learning design and education.
- Proven experience in planning, controlling, coordinating and decision making for the delivery of concurrent projects and activities.
- Knowledge and understanding of copyright legislation and regulations.
- Exposure to accredited style learning and assessment resources.
- Knowledge and experience with Learning Management System(s).
- Lesson and curriculum planning skills.
- Ability to train others on how to deliver learning material.
- Strongly developed writing, proofreading, editing, and formatting skills.
