**The Company**

**The Role**

Based in Brisbane, this permanent role will report directly to the HSEQ Manager (Sime Darby Industrial Services) and be responsible for the operational delivery of the health, safety, environment, and quality systems & procedures. As part of the group HSEQ team, determining, and developing business unit strategies and priorities (HSEQ related), it is critical that you can look at the operational impact HSEQ efforts can have on business units and work with organizational leaders to influence the safety culture and effectiveness of initiatives.

Working in a fast-paced environment, your principal accountabilities will include (but not limited to):

- Lead Health, Safety, Environment and Quality across the business unit
- Provide coaching & guidance to team leaders in operational health, safety, environment, and quality practices
- Delivering implementable HSEQ initiatives consistent with the business’s overall objectives
- Oversight and execution of annual compliance obligations
- Ensuring that the business is supported by appropriate advice such that the requirements of both regulatory and accreditation requirements are met
- Managing/Assisting with internal & external audits including ISO, API Q1, and the parent group
- Leading incident investigations & associated outcomes
- Management of the injury & return to work process

**About You**
- Experience in managing Health and Safety systems, policies, and standards preferably in a high-risk industry
- A relevant tertiary qualification in health, safety, environment, or science
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to positively influence others
- Thrive in a fast-paced work environment and able to work autonomously as well as part of a wider team of HSEQ professionals
- Highly motivated, reliable, and committed to meeting deadlines
