**About the role**
The Manager Communications is responsible for developing communications plans and supporting campaigns which promote and protect the organisation’s brand and reputation with key stakeholders including media, employees, industry, students, and the community.
**About You**
To be successful in this role you will have a strong background in media and both internal and external communications. Experience supervising a small team is a must. This is a hands-on role, so you’ll need to be highly organised, able to write at pace, and adept at influencing senior stakeholders.
Your duties will include but are not limited to:
- Developing and implementing internal communications plans that align with the TAFE NSW Strategic Plan, and the Corporate Communications Strategy.
- Crafting messages, selecting appropriate media and communications tactics, and measuring their effectiveness.
- Leading communications projects designed to embed and support change.
- Leading a small team, providing day-to-day supervision and guidance.
- Producing high quality written materials including media releases, interview briefs, media statements, intranet content, newsletter copy, and speeches.
- Identifying and shaping PR opportunities and responding to contentious issues.
