**Who we are**
The ICT Division works across a three-branch structure, supporting both internal departmental clients and a number of portfolio agencies in delivering their business outcomes. The ICT Business and Governance Branch, is responsible for key enabling functions that underpin our ICT strategic planning, investment, purchases, governance, communications and operational workforce, working broadly across the division and the department. Our ICT Business Solution and Security Branch is responsible for the delivery of the ICT business solutions lifecycle from design to sustainment, as well as the department’s cyber security, adopting a security by design approach to solutions and artificial intelligence capability. The ICT Operational Services and Infrastructure Branch is responsible for the delivery and support of ICT services across the department, portfolio agencies and to Ministers. Responsibilities include network security and support, the delivery, deployment and support of remote and field ICT and critical incident response.

The Quality Assurance & Deployment (QAD) section is a dynamic specialised team which is responsible for supporting, uplifting, and delivering reliable and quality ICT solutions for DCCEEW and its partner agencies in a streamlined and efficient manner. This section provides DevOps and Testing capability across the department through the implementation of, industry standard frameworks and processes, and supporting software development and delivery methods, including, agile, waterfall and DevOps.

**The job**
As a lead in the section you will
- Work to support multiple projects with competing priorities and align priorities according to the section, division and department.
- Draw on strong analytical and innovative thinking, uplift, and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented focus to deliver high-quality results.
- Provide leadership, including knowledge sharing with Test Managers and Test Analysts to aid in succession planning.
- Work across a dynamic team to adhere to, mature and promote a testing framework.
- Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to understand requirements and dependencies for testing activities and deliver testing outcomes according to the departmental, division and section priorities.
- Assist with contract management, skills triage, allocating testing resources, including testers, testing environments, and tools, to ensure efficient test execution.
- Display strong knowledge and experience (or demonstrate the ability to learn) in Software Development Lifecycles and Software Testing Lifecycles and frameworks and in agile and waterfall methodologies.
- Oversee and assist with test activities, such as Test Artefact creation, test execution and monitoring of test progress and defect management, as required.

**Eligibility and other requirements**
**Citizenship** -** to be eligible for employment with the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water you must be an Australian citizen.

**Security Clearance** -** this position requires a Baseline Vetting security clearance. You will be required to obtain and maintain a clearance at this level.

**Pre-employment checks** -**your suitability for employment will be assessed through a pre-employment screening process. This process includes a requirement to undergo and satisfy a National Police Check, referee checks, character clearance and where required a pre-employment medical assessment, specified mandatory qualification(s) validation and a probation period.
