Due to recent project wins the Energy Digital Engineering team is seeking a Electrical Design Drafter at Technical Officer level to join our NSW (Sydney CBD) or QLD (Brisbane CBD) Energy team on a full-time basis. This role within our Energy end-market provides design documentation delivery solutions to a broad range of energy and power authority sector and renewables projects, across many clients.

You will be assisting in, manage and produce appropriate intelligent CAD model production, documentation, and other technical work tasks to agreed deadlines, schedule, standards, and in accordance with the project plans. You will also contribute to a complete and integrated set of digital project content including documents by working co-operatively with team members whilst liaising with Engineers, and Drafters (locally and internationally) to ensure timely delivery of design deliverables, whilst maintaining, developing, and retaining the highest standard of technical design skills.

You will be given the unique opportunity to work with one of our key clients who are about to embark on an ambitious major transmission works program of a scale not seen in the Australian electricity sector in many decades. You will be also offered extensive Digital Transformation upskilling.

Strong data management mindset along with effective communication skills is essential for this role.

Minimum Requirements

You will have demonstrable qualifications and experience, including:
+ Proficiency in AutoCAD essential.

+ Proficiency in Microstation non-essential.

+ Familiarity with AS1100 drafting standards.

+ Ability to work to client CAD standard requirements.

+ A strong sense of commitment, a willingness to learn

+ Comprehensive understanding of working in a design office and preparation of engineering design drawings.

+ Excellent drawing checking ability.

+ Demonstrates experience assisting in delivering electrical projects.

+ Layout experience with a 3D understanding.

+ Undertakes, manage and produce appropriate 2D and/or 3D CAD model production, documentation and other.

+ Demonstrated ability to work independently to organise and prioritise demands.

+ Contribute to a complete and integrated set of digital project content including documents by working co-operatively with team members.

+ Liaise with the engineers and drafters to ensure timely delivery of design drawings, whilst maintain, develop, and retain the highest standard of technical design skills.

+ Strong communication skills (oral & written).

+ Ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of people at different levels both internally and externally.

+ Knowledge of other software such as ProjectWise and MS Office Suite (specifically Excel and Word).

+ Genuine safety concern and mindset.

+ Ability to provide a safe, supportive, and positive workplace.

Preferred Qualifications

+ Minimum 3 years design experience.
