**About the role**:
We're looking for a social planner who understands the intersection of culture, audience behaviour, and platform dynamics. In this role the bridge between strategy and creative, ensuring that social-first thinking is embedded in everything we do. You'll be responsible for taking social briefs, shaping strategic recommendations, and providing insights that inspire creative teams to produce work that resonates in social spaces; ensuring our brand stays relevant, innovative, and ahead of the curve.
This role requires a deep understanding of social media platforms, audience behaviours, and cultural trends, alongside the ability to translate insights into actionable creative direction.
**What you will be doing**:
- **Social Planning**: Take and interrogate social briefs, turning them into clear, insight-driven strategic recommendations.
- **Creative Collaboration**: Work closely with creative teams to ensure social-first ideas are at the heart of campaign development.
- **Audience & Platform Insights**: Stay on top of social trends, platform updates, and audience behaviours to inform strategic and creative decisions.
- **Content Performance & Best Practices**: Provide guidance on what works in social, from content formats to engagement tactics.
- **Trendspotting & Cultural Relevance**: Identify emerging trends, cultural moments, and opportunities for brands to participate authentically.
- **Measurement & Learning**: Partner with CX managers and brand teams to assess campaign performance, refining strategies based on data-driven insights.
- **Stakeholder Engagement**: Work with internal teams and clients to sell in social strategies and creative ideas.
**What you need to be great in this role**:
- 5+ years' experience in a social strategy, content planning, or related role within a creative, media, or digital agency.
- Deep understanding of social platforms (Meta, TikTok, YouTube, X, LinkedIn, etc.), their algorithms, and what makes content successful.
- A passion for culture, trends, and digital storytelling.
- Strong ability to translate data and insights into compelling creative strategies.
- A collaborative mindset able to work closely with business lead, creatives, account teams and clients
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Familiarity with social analytics tools (e.g., Sprinklr, Brandwatch, native platform insights) is a plus.
