About the role
The AGL Cyber Security team is looking for a Cyber Business Partner to act as the primary point of contact for cybersecurity matters within the Integrated Energy business unit. In this role, you'll serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, including Executive Team members.
As a Cyber Business Partner, you’ll be the single point of contact for cybersecurity within your aligned business unit—advising leaders, supporting strategic initiatives, and ensuring security is embedded across the entire lifecycle of business and tech projects. You’ll play a vital role in strengthening our cyber resilience and building a culture of security-by-design.
What You’ll Be Doing- Partner with senior leaders (including Executive Team members) as a trusted cybersecurity advisor- Represent cybersecurity in business unit planning, projects, audits, and incident response- Help shape initiatives that reduce cyber risk and avoid security or technical debt- Ensure cyber controls and standards are built into systems, data, processes, and customer journeys- Provide regular reporting, service-level oversight, and act as escalation point for security concerns- Stay ahead of changing regulations and ensure compliance impacts are well understood- Help deliver cybersecurity awareness and training across the BU
What You’ll Bring- Strong relationship-building skills and experience influencing at senior levels- Strategic thinking and a pragmatic, risk-based approach to cybersecurity- Degree in Cyber Security, Information Technology, or a relevant field- Experience working with cross-functional teams and complex stakeholder environments- Ability to lead, collaborate and drive security outcomes across multiple business areas- Experience in Cybersecurity governance, risk and advisory in Operational Technology environments
