**ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY**:
UQ Sport is seeking an adaptable, personable and business focused **Gatton Manager** for the leadership of our energetic team, and the operational management of our Fitness and Aquatic Centre at Gatton. This is a fantastic management opportunity for a leader with operational knowledge and running of the fitness & Aquatic Centre. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role will ensure sales and financial sustainability of the venue by providing a consistent customer experience and access to a variety of service and programs.

We are seeking someone with initiative and ability to think outside of the box to delivering outstanding results and exceptional customer service. Your collaborative relationship building approach will see you in increasing program participation as well as motivating your team and driving Gatton’s success.

**In this role you will**:

- In conjunction with the Operations Manager, be responsible for the development and delivery of the Gatton operational plan and budget ensuring alignment with corporate strategy;
- You will oversee the use of the facilities to increase participation and meet customer needs;
- You will thrive through effectively developing and fostering positive relationships with staff and key stakeholders, to support a consistent sales and service focus;
- You will provide leadership and management to the Gatton team, inspiring them to develop initiatives to drive the growth of programs;
- You will also ensure staff are given the correct training to be responsible for the day to day operations and business performance, whilst also meeting the compliance requirements of their roles;
- You will ensure compliance and delivery of the Aquatic Supervision plan as well as statutory and internal compliance and auditing functions within the venue.

**To be successful in this role you will**:

- Have or the ability to obtain a Blue card
- First Aid and CPR Qualification
- Pool Lifeguard Certificate
- Pool Plant Operators Certificate
- Have previous venue management experience, preferably in the Fitness & Aquatic industry, with a demonstrated high level of business and financial acumen.
- This role will require travel to St Lucia campus for various Leadership meetings and training - own car and drivers license will be required
