The Project Officer is responsible for supporting the effective management of the tenancy, maintenance and upgrade components of the GEH portfolio to facilitate its smooth and efficient management across the State.

**Key responsibilities**:

- provide value for money outcomes, advice and recommendations relating to tenancy policy and procedure as well as maintenance and upgrade works on a residential portfolio.
- Consult and negotiate with private real estate agents, establishing leasing to agencies and NGOs (Allocations, surrenders, vacates and occupancies).
- deliver maintenance and upgrade programs to agreed timeframes, budget, quality standards and client satisfaction.
- manage tenant, property and program expenditure including monitoring, reviewing and reporting on the financial performance of projects, programs, credits, debtors and rentals.
- review and endorse payments for services including electricity, mowing and C00519 programs and organise pet, pool and condition documents accordingly.
- ensure properties are maintained to a consistent standard taking into consideration GEH specifications, Australian standards and statutory requirements.
- Consult, negotiate work collaboratively with the tenancy and service maintenance teams in agencies, councils and QBuild.
- analyse the differences between quotes and GEH specifications.
- contribute to the development of responses to correspondence, briefings, reports and information papers and to support the development and review of key policies, guidelines and processes for best practice portfolio asset management and tenancy management.
- establish and maintain effective networks of key departmental contacts across GEH, QBuild and the legal team and with industry.
- Manage and update vacancy lists, review and assist with tenancy documentation, processes and consult with stakeholders on tenant relocations.
- Assist agencies with alternate accommodation options when necessary and manage programs relating to common area electricity, properties with larger blocks and vacant land.
