The Principal Clinical Advisor, Alcohol and other Drugs (AOD) provides expert clinical, operational and policy advice related to substance use or addiction. Priority initiatives and strategic directions include:

- A broad range of Alcohol and other Drug initiatives such as addiction specialist services, pharmacotherapies (e.g. opioid replacement therapy), service delivery design and workforce capability support
- Integrated treatment, care and support in response to the Royal Commission into Victoria's Mental Health System

The position will lead and coordinate projects that respond to key challenges raised by alcohol and other drug consumers, carers, clinicians and service providers to facilitate the provision of high quality and responsive access to alcohol and other drug treatment, care and support. The role will collaborate with sector and other experts in delivering key reform priorities.
