Peter Lehmann Wines has been producing groundbreaking Barossa wine since 1979, inspired by the passion and integrity of its legendary founder and namesake.
From its beginnings in the 1970's, Peter Lehmann Wines today has become one of the most established family-owned wineries in the Barossa region.
An opportunity exists for an Assistant Winemaker based at Tanunda SA.
The Assistant Winemaker will support the Chief and Senior Winemakers in the making of high-quality wines. This is a permanent position, ideal for an ambitious, hands on, hardworking Winemaker who wishes to learn and improve their winemaking and management skills to further progress their career.
Job Requirements
- Tertiary or equivalent degree in Winemaking or Oenology or in the process of completing
- Demonstrated winemaking ability over one to two years
- Self-motivated, attention to detail and strong work ethic
- Ability to work meticulously without supervision
- Team oriented with a willingness to be involved.
- Demonstrate good presentation and communication skills.
- A practical understanding of running a large premium winery on a profitable basis.
If successful you will be flexible, hands on and enthusiastic to work in all areas of the winery, with a focus on quality always.
This is a long-term career opportunity with ongoing mentorship and supportive management.
An attractive remuneration package, with the opportunity for relocation, will be offered commensurate with experience and qualifications.
