We have an exciting opening for a Quality Assurance Maintainer to join the Quality Team based at our Pinjarra Refinery WAO (West-Australian Operations) Workshop. This is a prime opportunity for you to attain true work-life balance, working full-time hours, condensed into a four-day working week.

In this newly created permanent role, you will be responsible for sustaining and improving the Quality system within the WAO Workshop for all processes related to equipment overhauls, fabrication and machining, and ensuring the QA system and activities conform to ISO9001 standards. A key part of the role will be to positively engage with teams across all levels of the business focussing on educating and coaching others towards achieving quality standards and operational excellence.

Reporting to the QA Coordinator, the core activities of this role will include:
- Sustaining and improving processes in the WAO Workshop to meet quality standards.- Maintaining quality standards by:
- Ensuring measuring equipment is calibrated and repaired to a defined standard-
- Conducting inspections and reports on the conditions of Assets-
- Conducting quality surveys and reports to ensure parts used and products made are meeting standards-
- Performing job observations to identify and correct quality standards or work methods-
- Leading investigations into Non-Conformances, Supplier Non-Conformance or complaints received from customers-
- Improving systems by providing training, coaching and problem-solving assistance-
- Developing and updating of QA documentationAbout you

To play a part in our ongoing success we are seeking someone with:
- Trade Certificate III or IV in an Engineering discipline as per the Australian Qualification Framework with a minimum of 3 years post trade experience- An inquisitive approach to team-based problem-solving- Ability to communicate and engage with a diverse workforce- Proficiency in the use of Asset Management Systems- Ability to interpret Standards, Engineering and Technical documentation- Experience in compiling inspection reports, writing Standard Work instructions- Experience in inspection and repair of a broad range of assets (e.g. pumps, valves and gearboxes through to machinery including lathes, milling machines and borers) will be highly regarded
