Calvary Hobart Maternity Unit offers collaborative and supportive relationship with our Obstetricians and Paediatricians. Allowing greater accountability and autonomy. We promote continuity of care for women who choose our facility. The service also provides antenatal education and a lactation clinic.
We are a private Maternity facility with 21 post-natal and surgical (Gynaecological) beds, 8 bed Level 2 Special Care Nursery and 4 Birth Suites. You will have opportunity to work across all areas of midwifery, including the special care nursery. Self-rostering principles and a fully rotational roster.
All our rooms are private rooms with ensuites. We have one Deluxe Suite offering a unique post-natal experience in a hotel like setting.

**Financial incentives**: We offer an incentive scheme for Permanent Midwives $1000 per month paid quarterly for 0.8 to full time, $750 per month paid quarterly for 0.7 - 0.5 FTE and $450 per month paid quarterly for 0.4 to 0.1 FTE.

About the role
Calvary Lenah Valley Hospital is the largest private hospital in Tasmania. We are leaders in Neurosurgery, Orthopaedics, Urology, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Surgical and Medical Care.
The Level 2 Registered Midwife is responsible for delivering a high standard of patient centred care, and supporting the Nurse Unit Manager, while also providing guidance and training to less experienced staff.
Reporting to the Unit Manager, the Level 2 RM may work autonomously and hold a personal portfolio, while also working well within a small team and lead by example.

About you
**We are seeking experienced and compassionate midwives with**:
Current AHPRA registration
Recent clinical experience in an acute care and/or hospital setting
Ability to work autonomously and efficiently in high-demand periods
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
A collaborative spirit and commitment to providing exceptional patient care
