**Primary Purpose**:

- Develop, deliver and assess marine training for SES and VMR volunteers and contribute to the State Training Program
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of SES and VMR marine capability
- Support the SASES Marine Capability Coordinator to develop and maintain marine capability
- Contribute to the operational preparedness of the Region including marine risk specific contingency plans, incident management capabilities and operational response capabilities
- Provide support to SES units and VMR flotilla with the planning and implementation of community engagement and awareness activities
- Support SES units and VMR flotilla compliance with relevant legislation, policies, practices and procedures
- Support proactive recruitment activities for SES units and VMR flotilla within a region
- Collaborate with partner agencies to ensure marine response planning and emergency management outcomes at local levels
- Facilitate post incident debriefs and contribute to lessons learned processes of the service
- Support leadership development and succession planning
- Undertake emergency management functions as required by SASES

**Essential Qualifications**:
Unrestricted motor vehicle license (and willingness to drive)
