An exciting opportunity for an experienced people leader in the building industry to utilise their skills and experience to lead a specialised Building Assessment team within the Dispute Resolution Division of BPC.
- Reporting to the Chief Dispute Resolution Officer, the Building Assessments Manager will lead a team responsible for delivering technical and expert advice to assess whether domestic building work is defective or incomplete as identified in a domestic building contract and/or where required under the Domestic Building Contracts Act 1995.

**What we are looking for**
- Experience as a people leader in the domestic building industry, including a high level of experience in managing client focussed teams.
- Detailed knowledge of the Building Act 1993 and the associated regulations, Domestic Building Contracts Act 1995 and the associated regulations, National Construction Code and associated Acts and Codes.
- Knowledge of construction techniques and types of construction for domestic and residential building work for which the Domestic Building Contracts Act 1995 applies.

**About the BPC**
- The Building & Plumbing Commission (BPC) is Victoria's new regulator for building and plumbing. It brings together the Victorian Building Authority (VBA), Domestic Building Dispute Resolution Victoria (DBDRV), and the domestic building insurance function of the Victorian Managed Insurance Authority (VMIA) into one organisation.
- Key functions related to building and plumbing regulation will come together under one roof, including registration, inspection and compliance, practitioner discipline, dispute resolution, and domestic building insurance. These services will now part of the BPC and will be fully integrated over the next 12 months.
