About the Role:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated **Support Worker** to join our dynamic team on a **casual** basis. In this role, you will provide high-quality care and support to individuals in the Dandenong, assisting with their daily living activities and ensuring that their well-being is in a safe and nurturing environment. This role is perfect for individuals who are committed to making a positive difference in the lives of vulnerable individuals.
- **Availability - Wednesdays 5.30pm-7.30pm**_
We have a client located in **Fawkner** who is seeking ongoing support on. The role involves assisting **two children, aged 11 and 13**, with their **homework** during this time.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist in developing and implementing individual care plans to meet the specific needs of clients.
- Support clients in maintaining independence and enhancing their quality of life.
- Help clients participate in community activities, attend appointments, and engage in social events.
- Administer medication and assist with daily health management as required.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and ensure all documentation is up to date.
- Foster positive relationships with clients and their families, ensuring a respectful and supportive environment.
- Ensure the safety, dignity, and well-being of clients at all times.

**Requirements**:

- **Essential**:

- Certificate III in Individual Support, Aged Care, or a similar qualification.
- Previous experience in a support worker or caregiving role is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Valid Working with Children Check and Police Check.
- Current Driver's License and access to your own vehicle is preferred.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and evenings, as required.
- A genuine passion for helping others and supporting their independence.
- **Desirable**:

- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Experience working with elderly individuals or people with disabilities is an advantage.
- Ability to manage challenging behaviors with a calm and patient approach.
- Strong team player with the ability to work independently.
