**The Role**
ALS Environmental has a rare opportunity for a
**Full Time Field Technician** to join our team based out of our
**Stafford Office, Brisbane QLD**. This position is an important Field Technician role working to support prestigious Clients and requires a highly motivated individual with an eagerness to learn. In return, we will invest immediately and extensively in your formal and on the job, development providing training access to First aid, induction courses and expansive on the job training on our testing methods, sample protocols and reporting format for our Clients.

The successful applicant will be responsible for completing field sampling services for our clients in both Southeast QLD and the Surat/Bowen Basin regions. Splitting your time between these regions the role offers a diverse sampling experience across several different sectors including Health, Pools, Trade Waste and CSG Industries.

**The day to day**
A day in your role may include:

- Travel to Roma to complete CSG sampling in the Surat/Bowen basins or leaving our Stafford Office in a Company vehicle to visit a set client list and complete pre-agreed sampling requirements around SEQ
- Recording samples into our sample record and tracking system for our clients and laboratory’s visibility
- Delivering samples to our Sample Receipt team in our Stafford laboratory to progress testing.
- Identifying opportunities with our Client Services team to expand or improve our Client services and scope where applicable from your on the ground observations and insights.

No two days are the same, visiting and gathering a range of samples using learned techniques, in diverse and varied landscapes and locations around QLD with true trust and autonomy, making a difference to our Clients commercial and environmental decisions to support local communities.

Responsibilities include:

- Adhering to all safety requirements and Journey Management processes
- Driving light vehicles, occasionally off-road
- Permit creation and management
- Complying with Land Access Rules and Requirements
- Calibration and Maintenance of field equipment
- Collection of samples from designated sample points

**The essentials**
- Field Experience preferably in the CSG Industry is desired but not essential
- A current manual license
- An eagerness to learn and a positive attitude
- Ability to work effectively independently and in a team environment
- Demonstrated attention to detail
- Strong communication skills
- Strong safety focus

**The benefits**
This role is an important role to support important clients and as such strong initial external training qualifications will be invested in from commencement to support your establishment in the role including defensive 4WD Couse, First Aid and CPR, Industry Safety Induction and client specific Gas Detection and Permit Procedure training. Additional extensive hands on training and ongoing support will be provided from our supportive team and dedicated Manager.
