**We are currently hiring a female support worker to provide personalised support to a young participant with Level 3 Autism (non-verbal) and Intellectual Disability.**

This is a casual role with set weekly shifts and the potential for increased hours during school holidays. We're looking for someone who is proactive, energetic, and confident in engaging with children who require a high level of support.

**Essential Requirements**
- Experience supporting children with Level 3 Autism (non-verbal) and intellectual disability
- Ability to actively engage with a child in a calm, patient, and structured way
- Bubbly, outgoing personality with a passion for working with children
- Strong communication and behaviour management skills
- Reliable, professional, and able to work both independently and as part of a team

**Location**
Supports are based in **Blakehurst, NSW**

**Shift Times**
- Monday: 4:00pm - 7:00pm
- Tuesday: 4:00pm - 7:00pm
- Sunday: 12:30pm - 4:30pm
- **School holidays**: Increased hours available, typically between 9:30am - 4:30pm

**About the Role**
We're seeking Disability Support Workers to provide personalised, community-based care. This role involves supporting participants with a range of needs, from daily living tasks to social and recreational activities, including those with more complex behaviours.

No two days are the same. You’ll be working with a variety of participants, each with their own goals, routines, and challenges. Your focus will be on empowering individuals to live with independence, dignity, and connection to their community.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Personal care and assistance with daily routines
- Meal preparation and light domestic duties
- Medication prompts and health-related support
- Support with community access and social engagement
- Working alongside participants who may display complex behaviours
- Communicating with families, health professionals, and internal teams
- Completing daily documentation and shift reporting using mobile apps

**What We’re Looking For**
- Previous experience in disability or community support
- A calm, professional, and reliable approach
- Excellent communication skills
- Comfortable using mobile technology and apps
- Current Australian driver’s licence and reliable vehicle (essential)
- Availability across various shifts, including weekends

**Desirable but Not Essential**:

- Experience supporting individuals with complex behaviours or mental health conditions
- Knowledge of person-centred active support
- Ambition to progress into senior or leadership roles
