**Store Assistant / Driver (Future Store Manager)**

We are looking for a **Store Assistant / Driver** to join our growing team. We are a **landscaping material and garden products wholesaler and retailer** based in Melbourne. As a **family-owned business**, we offer a **stable job with friendly colleagues** and a **clean working environment**.

This role is based at our **new store in Pakenham**, expected to open in March.

**Job Details**
- **Working hours**: 9:00 am - 4:30 pm (Monday to Friday), 10:00 am - 4:00 pm (Saturday). Closed on Sundays.
- **Flexible work schedule**: You can work **3 to 5 days per week** depending on your availability.
- **Employment type**: Casual to start, with **commission and team bonuses** available. Superannuation provided.
- **Future career path**: This position is intended for **future store manager** as the business grows.

**Responsibilities**
- Assisting in the **storefront** to serve customers
- Receiving, **dispatching, and checking incoming goods**:

- Operating a **forklift** (if licensed) to pick orders
- **Preparing and delivering orders** using a company van
- **Maintaining warehouse organization** and ensuring safe stock storage

**Requirements**:

- **Fluent English** (spoken and written) to communicate with local customers
- **Valid Australian driver’s license**:

- Reliable, **hardworking, and physically fit** (some heavy lifting required)
- **Punctual and responsible** - no frequent absences or late arrivals
- Prior **e-commerce experience** is a plus
- **Forklift license preferred** (higher pay for licensed operators). If not licensed, training can be arranged, and **exam fees will be reimbursed after one year of employment**.
- Annual **salary reviews** based on performance

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: $30.00 - $33.00 per hour
