**Key Responsibilities**:

- Work with clients to understand business and customer requirements that drive the analysis and design of technical solutions
- Identify and log defects and track problems through to resolution
- Research, evaluate, and incorporate new technology and tools to enhance the product development process
- Analyze problems and complete detailed explanation, tracking, and/or recording of defects
- Participate in all phases of the product development lifecycle, including the analysis, design, test, integration, and implementation of products and services
- Be a team player, productive contributor, maintain standards compliance, and demonstrate knowledge sharing skills
- Work with minimum supervision, if required

**Key Requirements**:

- Proven experience in evaluating and testing new or modified software programs by preparing and executing test plans and test cases to ensure they conform to business requirements/user stories
- Highly desirable experience writing automated tests in a commercial/government environment using Selenium or Rational Functional Tester
- Experience in testing web services (preferably JSON, SOAP, REST), experience with SOAP UI pro highly regarded;
- Exposure to load and performance testing techniques highly regarded
- Understanding of SOA architecture and of reusability of services, OO design principles, and software solution development
- Proven experience in Software Quality Assurance and SDLC models. Agile and Scrum highly regarded
- Preferably ISTQB certified with advanced certification highly regarded
