Based in the outer eastern suburbs of Melbourne, our client offers a comprehensive end-to-end generator provision service from planning optimal design, development of plans and delivery through to installation and onsite servicing, maintenance and repairs of plant, machinery and power systems.

With a focus on exceptional customer satisfaction, they are now seeking an experienced field technician to join the team in order to install, service and repair equipment in the field and at their Head Office in near Berwick.

**About You**:
To succeed in this role you will be trustworthy, punctual and have a strong focus on customer satisfaction. With an attention to detail and a common-sense approach you will be a team-player who pitches in to get the job done.

An absolute must for this role is practical electrical, PLC and diesel generator problem-solving skills as well as the ability to explain technical solutions to clients. A good listener, you will build rapport easily and can act as an ambassador for the organisation on site maintaining a neat and tidy appearance.

Physical fitness is an important requirement of the role.

**Major areas of responsibility include**:
**_Installation and Commissioning - _**Assisting with the installation of generators within time allowances and to company standards and report progress as well as any follow-up needs. Undertake pre-delivery work and equipment testing

**_Repair and Maintenance - _**Servicing of light towers and a range of power generators. Performing preventative maintenance and repairs. In order to do this, carry out effective trouble-shooting and problem-solving

**_OH&S/Assets - _**adhere to all OH&S standards including 5-step safety protocol. Ensure all tools are maintained to standard and maintain the company vehicle in a clean and tidy manner

**_Customer Relations - _**build and maintain excellent customer relations and train clients in the use of equipment if required and identify up-sell opportunities

**Requirements**:

- Grade A Electrical qualification

- Demonstrable mechanical knowledge of diesel generators ranging from 10kVA to 3000 kVA

*
- Experience with industrial engines

*
- Experience handling 12v to 415v

*
- 5 years’ experience in an installation/repair/maintenance role

*
- Sound understanding of OH&S standards associated with generator & electrical fit outs
- White Card
- Police Check
- Valid Driving License
- Forklift truck license an advantage
