**About the role**
We have a rare opportunity for a Procurement officer come and join our Group Procurement team, here at RACQ In this role you will support our Procurement Specialists and Category Managers to run assurance activities and sourcing exercises across our supply chain to identify opportunities for improvement and efficiency.
You will collaborate with stakeholders on high value, high risk, complex and strategically significant procurements evaluations for the RACQ Group. Alongside assisting with the development of procurement and contract management framework documents including advising on appropriate controls. Your key duties will include:
- Responsibility for administration of the contract management system
- Providing training and guidance to contract management system users.
- Supporting the preparation and process of RFXs, EOIs and market scans to procure ‘value for money’ solutions
- Co-ordinating supplier negotiations to deliver the best price and service, whilst adhering to RACQ policies.
- Developing, negotiating, and implementing performance-based agreements with RACQ suppliers
- Co-ordinating and processing purchase ordering within RACQ's systems and processes.
**About you**
We are looking for someone who is an excellent administrator who is familiar with purchasing processes, invoicing, and data entry. This role may be suitable for someone from a Finance Officer/Junior Officer background or an officer role reporting through to senior management. Further to this, we are looking for someone who is tech savvy and familiar with SharePoint and maintaining data integrity. Ideally you will have:
- Experience in either purchasing, or procurement and supply chain analysis
- Understanding of financial principles and procurement processes
- Strong commercial acumen and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills, able to influence across all levels
- Some experience in regulated industries, financial services will be highly regarded
- Solid understanding of sourcing, contract, and supplier risk management
- Demonstrated ability to produce accurate, high-quality reporting within tight timeframes.
