**ABOUT THE ROLE**
Wyer & Co. are seeking to employ a highly motivated landscape professional to join our landscape construction division. The position involves working as part of a team to complete the installation of some of Sydney’s most prestigious gardens designed by Wyer & Co.
As a Landscape Tradesman/Leading Hand, your key responsibilities will include:
- Assist and work closely with the Site Foreperson to coordinate all aspects of the landscape installation projects including client management, ensuring they are informed of works throughout the project.
- Assist the Site Foreperson with staff and contractor management to achieve completion of the project and ensure quality workmanship in line with the original specifications of plans provided.
- Working with the Construction Director and Site Foreperson to prepare achievable fortnightly schedules to ensure your projects continue to progress on schedule.
- Working with the Construction Director and Site Foreperson to ensure completion of your projects is achieved within budget and to the highest quality.
- Completing installation of all aspects of hard landscaping including but not limited to; decking, brick/blockwork, concreting, paving etc.
- Completing installation of all aspects of soft landscaping including but not limited to planting, irrigation installation, turning, etc.
The successful Tradesperson applicant will possess the following Skills & Attributes:
- You should be capable of completing both structural and horticultural elements of landscape projects. Tertiary qualification is preferred, however not essential.
- You should be capable of managing his/her team in the absence of the Site Foreperson with mínimal assistance from the Construction Director.
- Hold a current OH&S White Card and either a current version or willingness to undertake a First Aid Certificate.
- Great attention to detail and a desire to complete landscape projects of the highest quality.
- The ability to lead and motivate a small team to ensure the projects remain on schedule.
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, allowing you to liaise closely with the Construction Director and Site Foreperson to ensure all projects run as smoothly as possible.
- Hold a current Australian driver's license.
