Mechanical Draftsperson

Due to growth, we are seeking an experienced **Mechanical Draftsperson**to join the Saunders International team, preferably based at our head office based in Rhodes, NSW.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**

The primary objective of the Mechanical Draftsperson is to support the design and engineering teams by:

- Preparing accurate and timely 2D and 3D technical drawings and models for mechanical projects.
- Working with engineers to ensure drawings meet project specifications and standards.
- Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to gather and clarify design information.
- Supporting fabrication, construction, and operations teams with clear, concise documentation.
- Ensuring drawing records are up to date, filed appropriately, and retrievable when required.
- Supporting continuous improvement and consistency of CAD standards and workflows.

**ABOUT YOU**
- Trade Certificate / Degree
- 3+ years’ experience in AutoCAD/Plant3D, or related engineering 3D design software.
- Experience in SMP engineering design.
- Ability to communicate, influence and build effective relationships at all levels of the external and internal business environment.
- Ability to respond to a changing work environment.

Desirable
- Experience in tank building industry
- General WHS Induction for Construction (White Card, Blue Card)
