**The Position**

This role is responsible for conducting high quality, timely and procedurally fair assessments and investigations into workplace grievances, bullying, harassment, and misconduct related to employees. The investigator will ensure that standards are adhered to within appropriate investigation timelines and in accordance with legislation and Melba’s policies and procedures.
- Ensure all assessments and/or investigations are conducted to the highest quality standard in line with legislation, policies and procedures ensuring procedural fairness and natural justice
- Prepare for and conduct interviews with respondents, witness and complainants including supported people and their families as relevant
- Seek, analyse, and review evidence, information and documents provided as part of an assessment or investigation process
- Provide recommendations on appropriate activities to aid resolution
- Document process, allegations, finding, evidence, and other critical information into a Workplace Investigation Report
- High level analytical ability, with ability to ask probing questions
- Strong ability to use discretion and sound judgement to resolve issues independently
- Able to influence and work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders internally and externally to foster productive working relationships
- Able to critically evaluate information from various angles, assess risks, and identify solutions
- Strong negotiation skills
- Experience working in a fluid and changing environment
- Strong experience writing reports, recommendations, preparing correspondence and other documents for senior stakeholders
- Demonstrated experience in conducting high quality, sensitive and complex workplace investigations
