**ABOUT THE POSITION**

As a Trainer Assessor based in our Cleveland QLD Branch, you would be responsible for the facilitation of our RPL process, conducting gap training and on-site training & assessment for the units of competency/qualification you have been approved to deliver.

You will also be responsible for ensuring that the RTO’s Training & Assessment procedures are adhered to, and that all assessments are conducted in line with the National Standard for skills assessments (as prescribed by ASQA).

Support the effective daily administration and other functions of Alcolizer and related business units to deliver exceptional outcomes to our students, clients, and other internal and external stakeholders.

**Key responsibilities of the role: (but not limited to)**

As a Trainer and Assessor, you will support the National RTO Manager by:

- Training and assessing the HLTPAT005 Collect Specimens for Drugs of Abuse Testing.
- Reviewing course content and delivery methods regularly and assisting in changing and updating course content and assessments as required.
- Maintaining all relevant trade licences, industry currency, and necessary training and assessment competencies as determined by the Skills IQ or its successors, including Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40110 or TAE40116).
- Communicating regularly with the National RTO Manager to identify any issues, opportunities, or threats to the organisation.
- Assisting in the overall development of the registered training organisation.
- Assisting with Administrative Tasks as required.
- Managing client and student phone calls appropriately.
- Organising training equipment, venues, and training dates for training courses and assessing new training markets and locations.
- Train and assess other training courses as required.
- Participate in industry meetings for the development of new and existing training courses and materials with course developers, trainers, and industry consultants.
- Conduct refresher training courses as required at course delivery sites.
- Marking student assessments and signing off units (when the student is competent) using our learning management system aXcelerate.
- Assist the administration team in maintaining RTO compliance for this training course as well as prepare and assist in internal and external audits, including assessment validation and assessment moderation.

**To be successful in this role you will require**:

- Background within the Training, RTO, AASN, or Vocational Education and training (VET) industry
- Demonstrated knowledge of the VET sector
- Statement of Attainment for HLTPAT005 Collect Specimens for Drugs of Abuse Testing
- Experience in the Drug and Alcohol Testing Sector
- Full and Unrestricted Australian work rights
- The ability to supply a National Police Clearance (no older than 3 months)
- Full Australian Drivers Licence
- _As of 30 June 2019, trainers and assessors must hold:_
- TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or its successor or
- TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment plus the following units:

- TAELLN411 (or its successor) or TAELLN401A, and
- TAEASS502 (or its successor) or TAEASS502A or TAEASS502B or a diploma or higher-level qualification in adult education.
