**The Role**:
Reporting into the Financial Accountant, we have an amazing 12 month contract (with potential to extend) working across our Accent Lifestyle Brands as a Banking Officer Working with key stakeholders internally (Group Finance) & externally (Group Auditors & Operations Team), this role will play an integral part in supporting the finance divison.
**Your responsibilities will include**:
- Accurately recording banking transactions in the General Ledger in a timely manner.
- Processing balance transfers between bank accounts and ensuring sufficient balances exist as required.
- Timely reconciliation of bank accounts and promptly following up reconciliation items. Work with stakeholders to clear reconciling items in a timely manner.
- Daily monitoring of bank accounts including updating the daily cash flow report.
- Perform intercompany journal postings and relevant balance sheet account reconciliations. Proactively manage and ensure accounts are transparent and ‘clean’ by performing detailed analysis to clearly present balance sheet information in a succinct and logical manner.
- Assistance with audit including coordination of information, document management and various auditor queries and analysis.
- Assist in identifying process improvement opportunities.
- Assist with ad-hoc requests from the wider finance team.
To be successful you will have the following knowledge, skills & abilities:
- Proven experiences in a high-volume account processing position
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Office Excel, Outlook and Word
- Preferred, but not essential - Experience with AP21
- A high attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure, working to tight deadlines
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively as part of a team
- Effective planning and organisational skills
- A strong work ethic
