**About Cliffy’s Emporium**

Back in the 1950s, Cliffy Hauser’s general store was known across the region for its extraordinary range of produce, groceries and farm supplies. More than 60 years later, the spirit of that original store remains - farmers still deliver fresh produce, shelves are filled with local goods and seasonal delights, and the verandah under the grapevines hums with regulars and visitors alike.

Today, Cliffy’s Emporium is one of Daylesford’s most beloved cafés, celebrated for its warm country hospitality, exceptional food, and genuine sense of place.

**The Role**

We’re looking for a full-time waitperson to join our front-of-house team. This is an opportunity to be part of a tight-knit business that values professionalism, care and a strong sense of team.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide warm, attentive service to all guests
- Take orders accurately and make recommendations with confidence
- Deliver food and beverages efficiently and professionally
- Maintain detailed knowledge of menu items, ingredients and beverage offerings
- Share retail product knowledge with guests as part of the Cliffy’s experience
- Assist with reservations, phone enquiries, and guest flow during service
- Support daily set-up, pack-down and general service operations

What We’re Looking For

**Essential**:

- Minimum 1 years’ experience as a waiter/waitress or FOH staff in a fast-paced café or restaurant
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A genuine passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences
- Ability to work on your feet, carry large plates, and lift up to 15kg as needed
- Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate
- Availability for a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays

**Preferred**:

- Knowledge of coffee and/or bar service
- Familiarity with reservation systems and point-of-sale software
- Interest in local produce and retail offerings
