Our lovely and busy Camden-based single-parent family is seeking a mature, reliable, and proactive housekeeper/nanny to help ensure the smooth running of their household and provide support for two school-aged girls.

The role focuses on maintaining a calm and well-organised environment, particularly in the mornings and occasionally in the evenings. While childcare duties are mínimal, experience with or a willingness to learn diabetes management, especially insulin administration and site changes, is highly regarded. While a background in nursing or medical care would be an advantage, it is not essential if the nanny is confident and willing to learn with the appropriate training and support.

The nanny’s responsibilities include school drop-offs and, in the future, overnight care every Wednesday. The nanny will also be required to provide full household support during the father’s work trips, including an overseas trip in December.

The day-to-day focus of this role will be on maintaining the smooth running of the household. Key duties include managing laundry and ironing, assisting with light meal preparation when needed, tidying shared living spaces, organising the children’s belongings, and running errands such as grocery shopping. The family would appreciate help keeping the pantry stocked and ensuring the home remains clean, organised, and well-functioning. While a regular cleaner is employed, the nanny will only be responsible for light, child-related tasks, with household management as the primary focus.

Nanny Duties & Responsibilities include:

- Building a strong relationship with the children and father
- Managing household chores
- School drop-offs
- Overnight stay required, weekly on Wednesdays (in the short future)
- Ensuring a safe and hygienic environment
- Maintaining all aspects of the care routine for the children

- A non-smoker
- A valid driver’s license with a clean record
- Support single parent, office and travel hybrid life
- Comfortable and confident in changing and administering the Omnipod for diabetes management
- Nursing background preferred
- A minimum of 3+ years experience working with children
- A minimum of 2 Australian-based child-related references
- Current First Aid Certificate (or willing to obtain ASAP)
- Current Working with Children Check (or willing to obtain ASAP)
- Current National Criminal Record Check
- Excellent communication skills
