**About the Opportunity**

This essential service is seeking **a** heavy Vehicle Trailer Mechanics and Service Technicians to join our Service and Repair Division - part of a large manufacturing plant that is responsible for bespoke road transport equipment.

This 48-month Apprenticeship will give you a **Cert III in Heavy Vehicle Commercial Trailer Technician** and the opportunity to put theory into practice in order to gain valuable experience in the workplace to set you up for a successful career.

Our Client, Tuff Trailers (QLD) Pty Ltd is a wholly owned Australian family company based in **Crestmead, Brisbane**. It was founded by Denis Di Pasquale in 1995 and has been the leading innovative Australian Manufacturer which has built numerous trailers for customers throughout Australia and overseas.

**Key Responsibilities **under the supervision of qualified Trades people include:

- Understand and work from complex instructions and drawings
- Perform preventative maintenance, inspecting, servicing and repair of trailer components
- Brake Kit installation and wheel alignments
- Air bag installation and replacement
- ABS/EBS knowledge and fault finding
- Air system fault finding
- General electrical wiring and fitting of mudguards, tool boxes and auxiliary components
- Hydraulic installation using creepers and cutters
- Working with a range of hand tools

**About You**
- Must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident.
- Strong interest in Mechanical trade with a can-do attitude
- A high level of attention to detail, quality, and commitment for continuous improvement
- You must be reliable, a team player with a strong commitment to safety
- Forklift Licence would be advantageous
- Be up to date with or willing to get COVID-19 vaccinations
