Joining our team as an Intermediate Consultant, provides you will the perfect environment to grow and develop your career.'¯This is a role where it will give you the variety you are looking for. This isn’t a pure business services role, so you will be undertaking, payroll, tax, accounting and bookkeeping.

We are open to the role being full time, 4 days per week or to be worked during school hours. The flexibility doesn’t stop there as we work in a hybrid way, where you can work from the office two days a week and the remainder from home.

Some of your day-to-day activities will be:

- Reviewing monthly management accounts, overseeing day to day processing of transactions, fortnightly and monthly payrolls
- Preparation of tax returns including:

- Preparation of Income Tax Returns, Business Activity Statements and Instalment Activity Statements; and
- Processing and managing of tax office correspondence (e.g., Assessments, Instalments and PAYG Tax variations).
- Preparation of Fringe Benefit tax returns
- Preparing the complete set of financial accounts for all entities.
- Preparing and analysing standard management reports for clients (i.e., cash flow reports, budgets, etc).
- Providing feedback, guidance and support to junior team members which can involve acting as a buddy.
- Preparing budgets and bills for services rendered.

**Skills and Experience'¯**

Key to your success in the role will be:

- At least two years’ experience working in a Business Services environment with exposure to payroll, tax and accounting
- Degree qualified and have commenced your CA / CPA studies.
- Technical proficiency and you will demonstrate a keen interest and desire to develop your knowledge and keep updated with the latest tax and accounting developments.
- Have the ability to work with junior members of staff by providing them with support and guidance and in some instances, act as a buddy.
- Have good time management skills and be able to prioritise work and meet deadlines
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Have prior experience working with Xero is advantageous and be competent in Microsoft Excel.
