The Community and City Services Division is dedicated to placing people, families, and the broader community at the heart of everything we do. Our vision is to ensure Melbourne remains a liveable, healthy, and vibrant city that meets the needs of its diverse and growing population.

Within this division, the Parking Services branch plays a vital role in managing fair, safe, and efficient access to kerbside parking.

We shape and enforce the rules that govern these spaces to ensure equity and order across the city.

This role is primarily responsible for delivering a high-quality, customer-focused service through the Driver Referral Program (DRP).

The DRP is designed to help drivers manage their existing fines, prevent future infringements, and ultimately reduce registration costs with Fines Victoria.

This role also contributes to broader Prosecutions Team functions and supports the full enforcement lifecycle.

Responsibilities include maintaining accurate records, producing reports, administering payment plans, attending court, responding to complex customer enquiries,

and driving continuous improvement initiatives across the team.

The role will also provide guidance to the Infringement Support Officer and contribute to improving internal processes and service delivery outcomes.

**Essential**:

- Understanding and familiarity with the Magistrates’ Court processes, procedures and legislative requirements, or the ability to quickly develop the knowledge required
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and influencing skills
- Demonstrated skills in conflict resolution and the ability to remain calm, objective and in control when dealing with customer issues and concerns
- Demonstrated high level of attention to detail and time management ability
- Proven skills in written communication, including ability to produce quality documentation and reports

**Desirable**:

- Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline such as Certificate III or IV in Local Government or Business Administration
