Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) is the one of the largest Defence companies in Australia, and is now seeking to fill a crucial role from highly skilled and motivated individuals to be part of the team conducting Technical Maintenance Instructional activities for Boeing Defence Australia, supporting the C-17 Training System.

**The Opportunity**

We are recruiting for the position of an Aircraft (B1) Maintenance Training Instructor, to facilitate the growth and development of maintenance personnel supporting the Royal Australian Air Force's fleet of C-17 Globemaster Aircraft. This Program is located at Amberley, Queensland.

Your exceptional technical experience and training skills will be critical to support Aviation Maintenance Training for the C-17, in a unique and challenging environment.

**Responsibilities**
- Delivery of contracted technical trade training in accordance with appropriate Learning Management Packages (LMP's) and schedules to internal and external customers of the C-17 Program.
- Developing and evolving Maintenance Training materials in consultation with the RAAF, including but not limited to; analysis, design and development of courseware artefacts, learning curriculum, and the implementation and management of learning management system(s).
- Working in the capacity of a Course Manager in accordance with C-17 Course Management Curriculum.
- Demonstrate sound communication and analytical skills with the ability to leverage stakeholder relationships and resources, to ensure timely execution of C-17 training system requirements.
- Work and contribute to BDA's Environment, Health & Safety Management System.
- Providing SME Support to Training and Operational activities as directed.

**Experience/Qualifications**

**Essential**
- Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Mechanical).
- Military Aviation Maintenance License (MAML) with an existing Aircraft Type Certification, or equivalent commercial qualification.
- Held the position of Aviation Maintenance Tradesperson, Aviation Supervisor, and/ or Aviation Maintenance Manager on the C-17A platform.
- Experienced in the conduct of training and assessment in the Aviation Maintenance environment.
- Interpersonal skills to work in a multi-team environment and ensure effective learning outcomes.
- Established communication, multi-tasking and time management skill sets.

**Desirable**
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE10116 or equivalent), or willingness to obtain this qualification.
- Understanding of Defence Aviation Safety Regulations (DASR Pt.66 and Pt.147).
- Awareness of enhanced training methods and a mindset to implement flexible and innovative learning delivery methods and technologies.
- Highly competent Aeroskills Instructor/Mentor and Courseware Development skills.

**Eligibility**

Applicants will need to be Australian Citizens and be able to meet security clearance.
