Deakin Dental Care is looking for a Casual Dental Assistant to join our team

We are a 4-chair dental practice that was established in 2022, the practice is growing and we are looking for our next Dental Assistant to join our small, friendly and welcoming team.

**About the role**:

- Casual role with hours ranging from 16-38 hours per week
- Some Saturday work may be required but is rotated amongst all assistants
- Assisting the Dentist and Oral Health Therapist during treatment
- Sterilisation
- Cleaning
- Supporting reception when required
- Free parking close to the practice or walking distance from the bus stop

**About you**:

- Ideally, some Dental Assistance experience - we are happy to train the right person, but having knowledge of the basics would be a plus
- Willing to learn and take on constructive criticism
- Be able to work in and support a team
- Be confident to assist and support dentists during treatment
- Have some reception/customer service skills - not necessarily imperative as we do have a reception team
- Have a flexible schedule, we do send out rosters weekly, but the ability to cover absences would be preferred
- Want to do more - we are a general dental practice but do treatment under IV sedation and GA at a local hospital
- Be comfortable with surgical procedures
