**Medical Receptionist**

18 hours per week/2 days with the view of more shifts covering sick leave and annual leave.

We are looking for a new member to join our amazing team.

We understand that the Medical Receptionist is the foundation of a well-run General Practice, therefore we are committed to finding the right fit for our team.

**The primary tasks performed by the Medical Receptionist include**:

- Greet, ‘arrive’ and attend to patients - direct and keep patients informed of any anticipated delays.
- Ensure patients are correctly identified and all patient details are current.
- Answer incoming telephone calls attending to appointments and enquiries promptly and courteously.
- Convey messages promptly to the appropriate person, documenting as appropriate.
- Triage patients as necessary according to guidelines.
- Attend to patient recalls and reminders as appropriate.
- Advise patients of billing policies, issue invoices and receipts, process patient payments.
- Type and file outgoing correspondence.
- Photocopying and scanning as required.

**Essential Criteria**:

- Previous reception experience
- A neat and professional appearance
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Bright/friendly team member
- Enjoys working as part of a team. Works well independently when required
- Ability to work within a fast-paced team environment is imperative.

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 18 per week

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Branxton NSW: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
