
Breeding Assistant

Our team is expanding, and we are looking for an experienced Breeding Assistant or an outdoor all-rounder with a passion for horticulture and working with plants.
Your role at Rijk Zwaan
In this role, you will work closely with your team to conduct trials in a wide variety of vegetable crops, combining hands-on manual work with the latest in agricultural machinery, to cultivate and care for the crop, from sowing through to harvesting and data collection.
Your contribution
You are a team player and able to communicate well with ease. You enjoy the outdoors and can handle physical work in different weather conditions. You understand the importance of accuracy and make this part of your daily work.
In addition, we can find the following on your resume:
- Experience in operating agricultural machinery is desirable
- Chemical Users permit (ACUP) is preferred or willing to obtain
- Previous experience or an understanding of agriculture research field trials
- An interest to work with outdoors crops
- An ability to cope with sometimes difficult climatic conditions
- A good work ethic and positive attitude
