**The Role**

ALS is seeking an enthusiastic Data Metallurgist to join our Metallurgical Services business based in Balcatta, Perth Western Australia. The Data Metallurgist/Data Controller will be responsible for maintaining the Hydrometallurgy department data systems & testwork reporting, with a focus on data management for pilot plant and testwork reporting.

This is a permanent full-time position. This is not a FIFO mine site position.

**The day to day**
- Coordination of test work data packages; completing, reviewing and finalising various sections.
- Completion and presentation of daily metallurgical and control reports to clients and Metallurgists during pilot plant test work programs.
- Review of assays and plant measurements from various testwork programmes.
- Liaising with Metallurgists over various reporting and plant issues.
- Follow-up with lab staff on various samples assays and measurements.
- Data Entry.
- Report and log sheet spreadsheet development and modification.
- Database operation.
- Setup data files for pilot plant runs.
- Modifications during pilot plant runs.
- Liaise with assay lab and load assay results into reports.
- Report generation for internal assessment and client review.
- Periodic maintenance (individual databases).
- Maintenance of the FTP/Sharepoint server.

**The essentials**
- Bachelor of Science (Chemical Engineering/ Extractive Metallurgy)
- Experience in Hydrometallurgy Testwork desirable
- Experience with software programs
- Good communication, organisational and time management skills.
- Great attention to detail and be highly motivated.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good literacy, numeracy, and computer skills.
