**About Social Work Services**

The Social Work team across Monash Health is responsible for the delivery of a broad range of Social Work services for clients across the lifespan in the inpatient and outpatient setting.

**About the Role**

Our Social Work Department is looking for an experienced Grade 2 Social Worker to join our team of professionals working at Monash Medical Centre Clayton. This is an interesting and dynamic permanent part time (0.8) role where you will have the opportunity to divide you week between two important areas of Monash Health. Previous experience with chronic illness and hospital experience is essential
- The medical Therapy Unit specialising in Thalassemia and Sickle Cell patient - three days per week
- General Medicine and Surgical Acute Wards - one day per week

**About You**

This clinical role provides an opportunity to showcase your skills in working with people from a range of diverse backgrounds as well as completing complex psycho-social assessments and development of patient centred care plans. It is a requirement of this role to participate in the Emergency Department and on-call rosters.

**What You Need**:

- An Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)
- Accredited Bachelor Degree or entry level Master’s Degree of Social Work that provides eligibility for membership of the AASW.
