**The Role**:
As a Room Leader, you are expected to be an active member of a team which provides high quality education and care for all enrolled children that is consistent with the service philosophy, procedures and policies, the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and as per the National Quality Framework.
- Guide, support, and supervise staff, students and volunteers in the room
- Deliver inspiring Montessori early learning experiences for the children
- Develop the Children's Program
- Ensure a safe environment is maintained for staff and children
- Ensure accurate records are kept in regard to accident, incident, injury, illness and medication
- Liaise with families
- Maintain observations and records of individual children's progress

**About you**:

- Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or ACECQA equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year experience as a Room Leader experience or at least 3 years experience in ECE
- Current Working with Children Check
- First Aid Certificate or willing to obtain one
- Excellent understanding and working knowledge of the National Quality Framework, which includes: National Regulations, National Quality Standards (NQS), and the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively in a team environment
- Strong understanding of the importance of family communications
- Strong understanding of the Montessori Philosophy
- Well versed with Montessori learning materials, the curriculum areas, and progression
- Passionate about implementing Montessori early learning programs
- Commitment to the holistic development of their class
