**Classification Level: THT5 ($33.39 per hour + 25% Casual Loading)**

**Bring events to life in one of Adelaide’s busiest civic venues, supporting performances, functions and community experiences that leave a lasting impression.**

As one of the fastest growing council areas in South Australia, the City of Playford is focused on supporting our growing population and places the community at the heart of everything we do. With our urban centre as the CBD of Northern Adelaide, our city is enriched by growing and diverse communities in new and established suburbs, rural and hills townships and horticultural lands.

**About the role**

We’re seeking a hands-on and customer-focused Theatre Technician to join us at the Playford Civic Centre. You will deliver audio-visual and technical support across a variety of live performances, events and venue hire activities; including in the Shedley Theatre and surrounding function spaces. You’ll contribute to setup, pack down and smooth technical delivery of lighting, sound, vision and staging services, while ensuring the safety and satisfaction of commercial and community hirers.

Working as part of a flexible and collaborative team, you’ll help create welcoming, high-quality experiences that reflect our commitment to customer service and professionalism. You will also support the broader Business Development team with a range of function and event related tasks as required

**About you**
You’re a practical problem-solver with a passion for the behind-the-scenes work that makes events run smoothly. With experience in live production or venue support, you bring strong working knowledge of lighting, sound and AV systems, and the ability to adapt to the needs of different users and events. You’re confident operating both independently and as part of a team, and you take pride in maintaining safe, efficient and customer-friendly spaces.

Tertiary qualification in lighting, sound, or visual effects is highly desirable, however we welcome applicants with equivalent experience. You’ll also need to hold, or be willing to obtain, an Elevated Work Platform Certification, a Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.

Applications close at 12:00pm on 8 September 2025.
