**Position Information**:
Bradbury Public School is situated in South Western Sydney in the Campbelltown Network and has a Family Occupation Education and Index of 102. Current enrolment is 720 students K-6. The school hosts 27 mainstream classes an Opportunity class, 3 Autism classes and an IO/IS class. 8% of our students identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander and 59% are from English as an Additional Language or Dialect (EAL/D) background. Staff hold high expectations for teaching and learning and demonstrate this through their ongoing commitment to professional learning. The school has an outstanding reputation for catering for gifted and talented students and Creative Arts with experienced and talented staff leading these opportunities. Bradbury PS practises a firm belief of valuing wellbeing (Every Child is Known, Valued and Cared for) with a school culture devised around the Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL). We have a strong partnership with the local Aboriginal Education Consultative Group (AECG). The Bradbury School community have high expectations and aspirations for their children and parent's support for the school is strong. The Parent and Citizens Association (P&C) support the school's educational learning and extra-curricular programs.
**Selection Criteria**:
In addition to the general selection criteria, approval to teach infants and/or primary with proven strategic leadership of student learning and whole school wellbeing initiatives, with strong commitment to an inclusive school culture, recognising the diversity of our learners, ensuring every student is know, valued and cared for.
Demonstrated ability of leading and implementing High Potential and Gifted Education (HPGE) initiatives or programs that have developed, challenged and identified the learning needs of high potential and gifted students, whilst also providing advice and support to staff to implement effective learning and teaching practices.
Demonstrated ability to inspire, mentor and build the capacity of a diverse range of teachers including experienced and early career teachers. Demonstrated initiative and collaborative ability to effectively design, lead and evaluate evidence-based and data-informed practices aligned to the school improvement plan.
Highly approachable and responsive leadership with proven ability to effectively engage parents and the broader community in all aspects of school life.
**General Selection Criteria**:
1. Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice
2. Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs
3. Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams
4. Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents
5. Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning
6. Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policies
