Progressive business in the western suburb is a leader in high-quality machining. We manufacture high precision and low volume components for the aerospace, defence, medical, mining, and high-end automotive sectors where customers require the very best service and product.
**The Opportunity**
Working with our highly skilled and motivated quality team, you will support the business as a Quality Inspector and will be responsible for the verification and validation of CNC machined components and assemblies utilising both automated and manual Coordinate Measuring Machines and other manual measuring equipment.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Experience/understanding of ISO9001 or AS9100 principles
- Working knowledge of GD&T
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Use of measuring equipment; CMM experience advantageous
- Knowledge of PCDMIS software
- Working knowledge/experience of MS Office suite
- Knowledge of FAIR documentation
- Follow documented SOPs or Work Instructions
**About You**
- Trade certificate in Fitting and Turning/Toolmaking/Engineering
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment in a QA/QC role
- Commitment to safety
- A dedicated team player able of contribute and assist with trouble shooting
- Strong attention to detail
- Good communication skills written and verbal
- Proven ability to build rapport and liaise with internal stakeholders
- Flexibility to work dayshift or afternoon shift
- Must be an Australian Citizen/ permanent resident and able to work full-time
