About the Early Childhood Regulatory Authority (ECRA)
Our purpose is to deliver fair, proactive and risk-based regulation to support the early childhood sector to deliver safe and high-quality services.
The Department of Education is the regulatory authority for early childhood education and care (the Early Childhood Regulatory Authority). ECRA administers both the National Quality Framework (NQF) and the Education and Care Services Act 2013 under which early childhood education and care services in Queensland operate.
The role presents an exciting opportunity to be part of a regulatory team that strives to make a positive impact on quality and compliance in early childhood, improving outcomes for Queensland children in the early years.
About the role, you will:
As a Principal Intelligence Analyst, you will:
Plan and deliver strategic, operational and tactical regulatory intelligence projects that help the business better understand its existing and emerging risks and issues and take appropriate action.
Collect, process and organise data from various sources in collaboration with other regulatory agencies.
Develop, implement and deploy predictive models and algorithms using a variety of machine learning techniques.
Translate intelligence into visually appealing and actionable business insights for a general audience, identifying risks and issues arising from the data and their impact on analysis and findings.
Work with regulatory officers to provide tools to improve our decision-making and regulatory effectiveness.
Provide insightful, timely and influential strategic, operational and tactical intelligence products that contribute to best practice early childhood regulation as defined in the Regulating for Quality policy.
Establish the capability to support intelligence-led compliance planning and delivery that reduces risk to children in the early childhood sector, at both the strategic and operational level.
The Principal Intelligence Analysts report to the Director, Standards, Early Childhood Regulatory Authority.
