**About the opportunity**:
Rural Funds Management (RFM) has an opportunity to join the Finance and Accounting team as an Accounts Payable Officer. You will be at the forefront of ensuring financial precision through meticulous accounts data entry, seamless management of accounts payable and receivable functions, and the provision of support for general accounting processes. This role requires an individual who thrives in a busy and fast paced environment. This position is based in our Sydney office and supports working from home on Wednesday each week.

**Key Responsibilities**:
Your responsibilities will include:

- Accounts data entry
- Accounts payable reconciliation
- Accounts receivable reconciliation
- Online banking inquiries & payments
- Bank reconciliations
- Reviewing accounts
- Preparing and processing payments
- Preparing and processing of expense claims
- Month end time charging
- Month end journals
- General ledger reconciliation
- Maintenance of fixed asset register
- Provide support for account audits
- Carry out administrative duties
- Assistance with monthly forecasting process
- Provide effective liaison and assistance to all entities
- Provide support with annual and half yearly audits

**Requirements**:
To be successful in this position:

- You will have experience in a similar role
- You will have excellent attention to detail, good numeracy skills, good organisational and time management skills and good oral communication
- You will have a high level of expertise with MS Office Suite, particularly MS Excel

**Benefits**
- A competitive salary, between $70,000 - $85,000 p.a. (plus superannuation), dependent on your previous experience, skills, and qualifications
