Medical Receptionist

Fawkner Health Care is a well-established and highly regarded medical practice operating Fawkner. We are currently looking for a friendly, professional and organised Medical Receptionist with previous medical experience on a casual basis to join our amazing team. We have an excellent working environment with friendly staff and patients. The successful applicant will need to have the flexibility to work.

20-30 hours a week and extra hours when relieving staff on leave.

Responsibilities will include:
*Welcoming patients into the practice in an efficient and courteous manner

*Delivering exceptional customer service at all times

*Scheduling and managing patient appointments

*Collecting and entering patient details

*Answering phone calls and enquiries in a professional and friendly manner

*Performing general administrative duties such as scanning, faxing, mail sorting

*Patient billing and processing of payments

*Assisting practitioners as needed and managing their clinical room requirements

*Opening and closing the practice depending on roster

The applicant will also be required to work independently at times, work in a fast-paced environment and enjoy working part of a supportive team.

*Proven experience in a medical reception is essential with at least 1 years’ experience.

*Experience with Medical Director/PracSoft or other practice management software.

*Excellent communication skills with a positive and friendly manner

*Professional appearance and demeanour

*Ability to work both independently with initiative and as a team member

*Ability to work well under pressure and to multi-task in a busy environment

*Valid Police Check and DHS Working with Children Check

Part-time hours: 30 per week

- Medical Receptionist: 1 year (preferred)
- medical office: 1 year (preferred)

- Stocking supplies
- Sorting and sending mail
- Answering and routing phone calls

**Salary**: $43,827.00 - $53,566.00 per year
