**Description**:
The Role

Martinus is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our Inland Rail team and provide support across the project. This is a permanent opportunity, based from our project office in Brisbane CBD with occasional site travel required.

**Tasks and Responsibilities**:
Identification of suitable subcontractors for works
Preparation of RFQ documents to issue to subcontractors including development of the scope of works, BOQ’s & pricing schedules & other returnable schedules etc
Coordination with subcontractors during the tender process
Detailed reviews of RFQ submissions by subcontractors
Review & drafting of amendments to contracts
Preparation of Recommendation to Award to client & all associated back up information
Management of the RFQ process to inform the client during the tender phase including Bronze, silver & gold reviews & run regular update meeting for the client
Preparation of tender submissions to the client
Developing R&O register, cash flows, monthly forecasting
Management of contracts upon award to subcontractors
Monthly reporting requirements

**Skills and Experiences**:

Formal qualifications in Quantity Surveying or Engineering
Prior experience within the Rail, Civil or Construction sector
Experience in procurement process and a strong understanding of required scope of works, procurement governance & robust contract knowledge
Strong understanding and ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications & completed detailed take offs
Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in software systems - excel, word, PPP etc
Positive attitude, honest and ability to work independently
