Professional Translator

Study Match is an organisation that works exclusively with international students, schools and colleges in Australia. We are seeking an experienced Professional Translator to work in our busy and expanding company.

This is a Full-Time opportunity for an enthusiastic, hardworking and reliable Mandarin speaking translator

Job responsibilities include:

- Core responsibilities are document translation, interpretation, and communsication using language advantages to assist the corresponding departments.
- Rendering the meaning and feeling of the materials for Chinese market, translating them into Chinese in the appropriate words and style, to make the Chinese customers and agents understanding the materials in correct and easy way.
- Conducting research on tourism and study tours from resources in Chinese language of educational products and resources as well as competitors' goods and services and preparing and presenting research findings to marketing team.
- Monitor Chinese customers' changing needs and competitor activity and report these developments to the Director to act accordingly.
- Assisting the coordination of the study tour group in communications between Chinese customers and schools and colleges.
- Assisting on following up with Chinese clients to ensure satisfaction with goods and services purchased and resolve any problems arising before and during tours. Explain courses and services to them or their agents with proper and correct information in Chinese language.

Required attributes and skills:

- Qualifications in Chinese and English Translation and Interpreting.
- Qualification in International Business or international education is preferrable
- An expert knowledge of the international education industry in Australia.
- A proven track record of successfully supervising a team and multi-tasking abilities.
- NAATI Certified Translator.
- IELTS level 8
- Fluent in English (written and spoken) and in Chinese/Mandarin
- High degree of computer skills
- A friendly person, approachable and flexible
- The capability to think on your feet and problem-solve.

Annual salary package: $75K plus superannuation

Pay: $75,000.00 per year
