**The Organisation**
One of Australia's leading utility providers reliably delivering electricity to more than one million homes and businesses.
**The Role**
The Field Leaders are responsible for the management of faults response services (response, repair and restoration). This includes the improvement and maintenance of all fault related processes and procedures, ensuring a rapid response to any changes (environmental or resourcing) as well as championing potential fault response improvement projects. The role is based at the depot in Geelong. The Field Leader will act as the link between the field crews and the head office design and work planning functions. In more detial the field leaders will;
- Provide leadership and direction to the team and resource partners on all resourcing and fault activities
- Ensure the effective utilisation of resources to meet timeline, quality, HSE, network reliability and cost targets
- Lead the implementation of improvement programs and drive innovation in parts of the workplace
- Support network services projects/programs in other locations as required
**The Requirements**
- Technical understanding and working knowledge of electrical distribution assets, construction and maintenance operations
- Demonstrated problem solving skills with the ability to think laterally and use initiative
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with management and employeese
- Knowledge of the regulatory drivers, business targets and the key interfaces that impact upon the operation of Network Services
- Knowledge of human resource principles & practices and understanding of regulatory compliance issues (including OHS)
- Proven communication and coaching skills - ability to coach, support, direct and delegate construction team members appropriately
